Privacy notice
Last updated: 2026-10-02
This notice says what organizationdatabase.com stores about you, why, and where. It describes what the service does today.
Who runs the service
organizationdatabase.com is operated by Projera. For the account data described here, Projera decides why and how it is processed. For the organization data a customer enters, the customer decides and Projera processes it on the customer's behalf.
Account data
When you create an account we store your name, your email address and a one-way hash of your password. We never store the password itself. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft we ask for your basic profile only (name, email address and the provider's identifier for your account). We do not read your mail, files, calendar or contacts, and we receive no password.
Organization data
An organization you work in holds the structure its members enter: units, positions, roles, the people who hold them, and the dated record of every change. This can include names and job information of people who do not use the service themselves. The organization that enters this data is responsible for having the right to do so. Members of an organization can see the names and email addresses of its other members.
Security and activity records
We keep a record of who changed what and when inside an organization, and of membership and settings changes. Failed sign-in attempts are counted to slow down guessing; the email address and network address behind them are stored only as hashes. When you create an account or ask for a password-reset link, a bot check by our hosting provider (Vercel BotID) looks at technical signals of your browser to tell people from scripts. Our hosting provider keeps technical request logs.
Why we use it
To provide the service, to keep it secure, and to let an organization trace its own changes. We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use analytics or tracking tools.
Where it is kept
The application runs on Vercel and the database is hosted by Neon in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union). Messages such as a password-reset link are sent through Resend from Ireland (European Union). They act as our processors. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, that provider learns that you used this service.
Cookies
We set only the cookies the service needs: one that keeps you signed in (up to 30 days), one that remembers your language, and a short-lived one while a Google or Microsoft sign-in is in progress. There are no third-party or advertising cookies.
How long
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Organization data, including its change history, is kept for as long as the organization exists, because the history is the record the organization relies on. Sign-in attempt counters expire on their own.
Your rights
You can see and correct your name in your settings. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, for its correction or deletion, and you can object to its processing, as the data protection law that applies to you provides (for example KVKK in Türkiye or GDPR in the European Union). For data an organization entered about you, please contact that organization first.
Changes to this notice
When the service changes what it stores or where, this notice changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
